Every Old Piece has a Story - most of them we will never know

here is an exception:
My father, who lives in Germany, had an aunt who lived and worked as a missionary nun in 30s China. When she retired back to Germany, she brought home her beloved bible, printed in Chinese, many passages underlined in red, with maps of the area. Many years later, after a visit with my parents, I brought the bible back home to the US and put it up for sale.
A customer in China contacted me, all excited and told me he would love to buy the bible and that it originated from the area he lives in, according to the maps it contained.
So this particular Chinese bible travelled from China to Germany, to the USA and back to China.
I wish I would know all the stories of the many vintage items going through my hands.
